Based in the Ötztal Alps more than 5300 years ago, a Neolithic clan has settled near a creek. Kelab is their leader and has the responsibility of being the keeper of the group's holy shrine Tineka. One day, during Kelab's hunt, the settlement is attacked. The members of the tribe are brutally murdered, including Kelab's wife and son as well as Tineka. The only survivor is a newborn. Letting himself guide by pain and fury, Kelab is out seeking vengeance. His journey becomes an odyssey in which he will fight for the infant's survival and against the forces of nature. He also turns from hunter to hunted, all in a state of loneliness which causes him to doubt his actions more and more. When Kelab finally faces the murderers, he encounters the challenge of not becoming a victimizer himself. With great emotional impact, writer and director Felix Randau depicts the first unsolved murder case in the history of mankind. Hide full plot... Show full plot

Trivia Iceman

Ötzi is one of the oldest and best-preserved bodies that has ever been found and was discovered in 1991. It has been 5,300 years after his estimated death. Blood from four different people was actually found on the real-life Ötzis' belongings, supporting the idea that he led a sometimes violent life.
