Quatre raons

María is twenty-seven weeks pregnant when she's victim of gender violence from her partner Alejandro. Since then she's been in a coma, fighting between life and death. This unconsciousness situation carries on for almost eight years, the same age of her daughter Raquel. In María's mind rattle bad memories and the horrible violence suffered in her life. Still in a coma, she keeps alive by imagining almost with perfect clarity what would happen if she was able to get up from bed and make justice in her own terms.

The film, shot in Valencian language, is directed by Pedro Pérez Rosado, who's previously directed 'El sueño de las lagartijas', 'Donde el olor del mar no llega', 'La mala', 'Agua con sal' and 'Una dona amb unes ales tremendes'. The script, as usual in his filmography, is by Lilian Rosado González. The cast is made up by Jordi Ballester ('The Sea Inside', 'Stolen Away', 'The Ministry of Time'), Lorena López ('Instant Love', 'Señoras del (h)AMPA', 'Dos vidas'), Cristina Plazas ('The Body', 'Three Steps Above Heaven', 'The Dutchman's Island') y Mercedes Sampietro ('Beyond the Walls', 'Broken Silence', 'Common Ground').

It's a production by La Ceiba del Patio with La K de Cine. Direction of photography is by Rafael Coronas and art direction is by Laurent Begaudeau. Music is by aziza Brahim.
