Rise

Marion Barbeu ('Nephtali') plays de role in this comedy-drama of Elise, a young french girl whose life takes place trough Paris and Great Britain. She has always been a great classic dancer, until the day she gets injured in a performance when she breaks her leg and has to give up her life as dancer. She feels lost with her life upside down, but from now on she will have to look fowards the future and search for a new passion to devote. In her searching, she will start to live new experiences and encounters that will lead her to meet a contemporary dance company, where she may find a new ilusion to pursue.

'Rise' is directed by Cedric Klapisch ('Pot Luck' or 'Family Resemblances') who has also wrote the screenplay with the collaboration of Santiago Amigorena ('A Few Days in September'). The cast is formed mainly by french actors where we can find nouns as Marion Barbeau, Denis Podalydès ('Deception' o 'Great Minds') o Muriel Robin ('jJacqueline Sauvage: It Was Him or Me' o 'You Don't Choose Your Family'), and with the collaboration of choreographers as Mehdi Bkai ('It's gonna be okay'), Robinson Cassarino o Hofesh Shechter ('Performance Live') that interpret theirselves on the movie.
