Synopsis

'The Circle' is the film adaptation of the famous bestseller by Dave Eggers, and is directed by James Ponsoldt. Emma Watson is Mae Holland, a woman who gets the opportunity of a lifetime when she starts working at The Circle, the most influential technological company in the world where she becomes involved with a mysterious man. This thriller shows the risks of life in the digital age. The Circle tracks passwords of users in order to get their personal data collected in their emails, social networks and their bank operations and use them against the users through an innovative operating system. This leads to privacy becoming a privilege which many people cannot count on. The cast includes names such as Tom Hanks, John Boyega, Bill Paxton, Patton Oswalt y Ellar Coltrane.
