Plot

Considered one of the masterpieces of the twentieth century, Sergei Parajanov got enshrined in the cinema with the film 'The Colour of Pomegranates'. The film tells the life of an Armenian troubadour Sayat Nova. The poet's life is told through his poetry, showing the most important moments in the life of the poet. In the film we see how pass key moments in the life of Sayat Nova, their loves, fears and even his own death. Set design and image care made ??this film from becoming a painting, using the imagination of the director with the letters of the own Sayat Nova. In 2014 the Cineteca of Bologna and the Film Foundation restored a new version, almost complete, the version before to be censored and banned by the Soviet Union for years.

Trivia

In 1968 it was censured and ordered a new cut. It changed its name to 'The color of the Promegranates'. In 1969 it was banned by the USSR.
