Christina Eames (Chanté Adams) was a known and skillful photographer for everyone, but for Mae Norton (Issa Rae), she was her mother. When Christina dies, her daughter starts to suspect there was much more in Christina's past that she didn't know. Mae's questions arise an anger against her mother born from the pain of her secrets. Nevertheless, she investigates the past to learn about Christina's life. What she can't imagine is that her inquiry will lead her to a passionated romance with Michael Block (LaKeith Stanfield), a intelligent and charming journalist.
