Plot
Adaptation of the Spanish novel written by Antonio Orejudo. Helga Pato (Pilar Castro) is a young editor who, in the middle of a train journey set to cover ground from the north of Spain to its capital city, Madrid, the person sat beside her approaches her with the following question: "Do you want me to tell you about my lifetime?"
The stranger in question turns out to be Ángel Sanagustín (Ernesto Alterio), a psychiatrist and expert in personality disorders. Ángel, seemingly bored by the journey and wishing to liven up his trip, works in the same psychiatric clinic where Helga had been forced to hospitalize her husband just before boarding the train. Ángel, who is in charge of investigating personality disorders through the writings of his patients, tells Helga the unbelievable story of the worst case he has ever has ever been confronted with. He tells Helga of a man named Martín Morales de Úbeda (Luis Tosar), one of his most dangerous patients, who was obsessed with using garbage as a control instrument. This macabre story will inevitably change Helga's future as she becomes caught up in this story of twists, lies and disorders, all whilst facing up to her decision to section her husband. A maze in which reality and fiction will be intertwined to form a complex and hilarious chaos.
