Plot

Oscar-winner filmmaker Rober Zemeckis, the author behind titles like 'Forrest Gump' and 'Castaway' directs Steve Carrel in 'Welcome to Marwen', film inspired in the documentary 'Marwencol', the emotional real story of Mark Hogancamp's struggle, a broken man who after being victim to a terrible assault and waking from a coma, discovered that imagination and art are truly able to heal the human mind.

The script to the film is written by Caroline Thompson and Robert Zemeckis. Zemeckis is credited as a producer too, as well as Steve Starkey and Jack Rapke from ImageMovers, Zemeckis' production company based in Universal.
