Quite some time has passed since Jennifer Lawrence's nude photographs were released online for the world to see. Despite the passage of time however, the actress is still very much affected by the consequences of such an invasion of her privacy.

Back in 2014, hackers gained access to Lawrence's private files stored on Apple's iCloud Service and began leaking her nude photographs one by one. The actress, speaking to The Hollywood Reporter recently, has dubbed the incident, "almost like a ransom situation", and went on to mention how she felt as though she'd been, "gang-banged by the fucking planet".

The photos, which were originally intended for her boyfriend at the time, Nicholas Hoult, still have an effect on the 'Mother!' actress. "There's not one person in the world that is not capable of seeing these intimate photos of me. You can just be at a barbecue and somebody can just pull them up on their phone", she mentioned. Lawrence continues to feel the consequences on a personal level too; "somebody said something to me about how I was 'a good role model for girls,' and I had to go into the bathroom and sob because I felt like an imposter - I felt like, 'I can't believe somebody still feels that way after what happened.' It's so many different things to process when you've been violated like that." The actress clearly feels her title as a role model has been tarnished since the leak.

 Lawrence in her new film

Lawrence isn't alone

Lawrence was not the only actress to be attacked in this way, and many other victims contacted her about possibly suing those responsible, although she turned them all down. Kirsten Dunst, Amanda Seyfried and Kate Upton were also affected in situations similar to that of Lawrence.

The 'Silver Linings Playbook' actress has just finished filming her latest project with 'The Hunger Games' director, Francis Lawrence. 'Red Sparrow', set for release in March 2018, is "really sexual", and in starring in the film, Lawrence feels she's "getting something back that had been taken from" her.
