Alicia takes a sample of her creation to give it to her son Joe, who baptizes her as "Little Joe".
Alice (Emily Beecham) is a single mother and a great and tireless expert plant grower for a company dedicated to the development of new and transgenic plant species. She has been in charge of designing a very special, remarkable crimson red flower, not only for its great aesthetic beauty, but also for its high therapeutic value, at the psychological and mental level. This new cinnabar plant needs a very special temperature, adequate food and a little bit of conversation on a regular basis to make the owner's levels of happiness increase considerably. Despite the express prohibition of the company, Alice takes a sample of her creation to give it to her son Joe, who baptizes her as "Little Joe." Soon she will realize that the flower, which theoretically had good benefits, will bring very different consequences to all those people or animals that are in contact with her. From one day to the next, everyone close to Alice will be different, they will not be themselves and the protagonist will begin to realize that something bad is going on. It is then that she will have to solve a lot of mysteries that will make her even question her own identity.
The movie is directed by Jessica Hausner and written by Geraldine Bajard and Jessica Hausner.
