Deb Callahan lives with her teenage daughter, Bridget, and her grandson Jesse. Deb lives a normal life, working in a small store in her home town, she argues sometimes with her mother, and goes from time to time on a date. But everything in her life changes when one day, after she babysits her grandson Jesse for a night while her daughter goes on a date, Bridget never comes back home. After a first moment when she thinks her daughter is with her ex boyfriend, Deb discovers that she has actually gone missing, and the days and weeks follow one another without any news from Bridget. Years later, Deb has graduated community college after starting to study again, is married, has a good job and raises her now teenager grandson. It is in this moment when there is for the first time information on her daughters disappearance. All the calm and peace Deb has worked so hard to achieve and the pain and memories from her missing daughter, that was never really forgotten, reappear in a traumatic way. 'American Woman' is directed by Jake Scott ('Welcome to the Rileys') and has a screenplay written by Brad Ingelsby. The cast is formed by Sienna Miller ('The Lost City of Z'), Aaron Paul ('El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie', Sky Ferreira ('Baby Driver') and Aidan Fiske ('Modern Love'), among others.
