Plot

Lucille Ball (Nicole Kidman) and Desi Arnaz (Javier Bardem) must make important decisions during a crisis that threatens both their careers and their marriage. It is based on the true story of the comedian and her husband. In addition to being a model, she was a star in the 1950s, with a radio show for CBS, which catapulted her to the making of the sitcom 'I love Lucy'. The film shows a week's work on the set of that series. It also deals with the racial discrimination of the time, which Arnaz faced because he was Cuban, and how his wife fought hard to keep him on television. It explores deeply the roots of this turbulent marriage, with special emphasis on the careers of both, which play a really important role in the film.

It is written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, who already has experience with biopics, such as 'The Social Network', for which he won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay, as well as other nominations for films such as 'The Trial of the Chicago 7'. In addition to Kidman and Bardem, are also appearing J.K. Simmons, Nina Arianda, John Rubinstein, Alia Shawkat, Jake Lacy, Linda Lavin, Ronny Cox, Dana Lyn Baron, Dan Sachoff, Nelson Franklin, Clark Gregg and Tony Hale. The studio responsible for its production was Amazon Prime.
