Plot

'' is a French drama written and directed by Alice Winocour and starring Angelina Jolie in one of her most intimate and personal roles. The film premieres at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival before its release in French theaters on February 18, 2026.

The entire film is set in the context of Paris Fashion Week. Angelina Jolie plays Maxine Walker, an American film director who arrives in Paris to shoot a project for a runway. Shortly after her arrival, she receives a cancer diagnosis that will change her stay in the French capital, her work, and her relationships.

The film narrates Maxine's story as it interconnects with those of other women who also participate in this competitive world of fashion. Like Ada, a young woman from South Sudan who struggles to escape the future that has been chosen for her, or Angèle, a makeup artist who dreams of a different life.

'' is a portrait of life behind the runways far from glamour and focused on the work of women who intertwine ambition, identity, and survival. In addition to Jolie, the film features Louis Garrel, Ella Rumpf, Garance Marillier, Anyier Anei, and Finnegan Oldfield and receives mixed reviews after its premiere.
