Death on the Nile

Adaptation of the 1937 Agatha Christie novel. Linnet Doyle is a young heiress who has everything but is found murdered during a Nile cruise on her honeymoon. Jealousy, economic interests,... all of this shapes the crime. Hercule Poirot, who was on the cruise of this glamorous steamboat for a vacation, will be involved in this peculiar case from which an even darker matter will come to light. The adventure takes place in a legendary landscape with wonderful views of the desert and the majestic pyramids of Giza and is the sequel to 'Murder on the Orient Express'.

It is directed by Kenneth Branagh ('Thor', 'Belfast'). The cast is made up of the director himself, Gal Gadot ('Wonder Woman'), Armie Hammer ('Call Me By Your Name'), Letitia Wright ('Black Panther'), Annette Bening ('20th Century Women'), Emma Mackey ('Sex Education'), Russell Brand, Ali Fazal, Rose Leslie, Sophie Okonedo, Jennifer Saunder, Dawn French and Tom Bateman ('Revenge Below Zero') among others. The script is signed by Michael Green and Matthew Jenkins, James Prichard and Matthew Prichard serve as executive producers.

This novel, a riveting mystery thriller about the emotional chaos and deadly consequences of obsessive love, was already adapted to the cinema in 1978 by director John Guillermin ('King Kong').
