El silencio es bienvenido

Amanda, a teenager who doesn't fit with her parents and much less with her sister, embarks on a family vacation with them. During the trip she will try to escape because she will realize how the relationship with her family falls apart and becomes increasingly distant. Amanda no longer connects with her parents like when she was little and is at a point where she doesn't even support them. This situation of family chaos is further accentuated when she observes that the parents' marriage is beginning to collapse.

Both the couple and the daughters will try to deal with this family disorder. Each in their own way, but they will try to reconnect and see what they feel to see if they are able to be a family again as they were a few years ago. Unfortunately, any of them is aware of the imminent escalation of violence and insecurity to which the entire country has been subjected, so these may be the last holidays they spend together. Will Amanda realize the danger they all run?

'Silence is welcome' is written and directed by Gabriela García Rivas, her first feature film after writing and directing short films such as 'Deshojando Margaritas' and 'Pleamar'. The film has a cast formed by Roberto Fiesco Trejo, Tenoch Huerta, Jorge Luis Moreno, Eileen Yáñez, Daniela Newton, Andrea Newton, Luis Eduardo Yee and Enrique Medina.
