Plot

Adaptation of the novel by Nick Hornby. Rob Gordon (John Cusack) is a thirty-existential crisis. Passionate about music, vinyl owns a shop that is on the verge of bankruptcy. With his two best friends, Dick (Todd Louiso) and Barry (Jack Black), discuss their favorite bands and themes. Rob's main concern is to recover his former girlfriend Laura (Iben Hjejle), now with another guy. Hornby (and Frears, in this impeccable tailoring) uses the archetype (as real) of idealistic and romantic loser to portray a generation. It turned into a cult, 'High Fidelity' is an exercise in awareness of romantic relationships.
