Plot

Del (Peter Dinklage) is, literally, alone in the world. After the extermination of all humans, he is the only inhabitant in a small and empty town. In his loneliness, Del also reads, watches movies and looks for books for the local library he has turned into his home. He is alright in his isolation. But one day, he finds Grace (Elle Fanning), a non invited guest in his quiet world. Grace's story and motivations are not clear, but the worst thing is that she wants to stay.
