Synopsis

'Inversion', by Behnam Behzadi, aims to invite reflection on Iranian society. It tells the story of Niloofar, a thirty-something who runs her own business and lives with her elderly mother. Niloofar's mother is ill because of the high levels of pollution in Tehran. For this reason, doctors recommend her moving to the suburbs, where the air is cleaner. Then, begins the internal struggle of Niloofar between family loyalty and the pursuit of his own happiness. Her siblings and family members pressure her to stay single and move with her mother neglecting her life. So far, she has always obeyed his orders, but perhaps she is before the moment to think about herself.
