Moonfall

The world is on the verge of annihilation when a mysterious force strikes the Moon out of its orbit and sends it directly into the Earth at full speed. A few weeks before the impact, NASA executive and former astronaut Jo Fowler is convinced she has found the solution to save the planet and its inhabitants. Trouble comes when no one believes it. Only astronaut Brian Harper and conspiracy theorist KC Houseman trust her. To carry out the impossible mission, these heroes will leave behind all their loved ones in order to land on the lunar surface and try to save humanity, facing a mystery of cosmic proportions.

Filmmaker Roland Emmerich directs and co-writes 'Moonfall'. Spenser Cohen and Harald Kloser also write the screenplay. On the other hand, Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson, John Bradley, Charlie Plummer, Donald Sutherland, Stephen Bogaert, Eme Ikwuakor, Michael Peña, Wenwen Yu, Carolina Bartczak, Maxim Roy and Hazel Nugent are the actors that make up the cast of the film.

"There are those who believe that the Moon is not a natural object," says the director. "What I thought was an intriguing idea for a film. What would happen if that object fell on Earth? Of course, we would have to figure out how to stop it, but I was also fascinated by the challenge of creating characters who embark on a mission to the Moon to save our planet, as well as families who are left behind and struggling to survive the catastrophes of the Moon?s collision course with the Earth".
