Plot

Joaquín Góñez is a lonely writer, who is finishing his latest novel. His quiet will be interrupted by the journalist Manuel Cueto, who makes a visit at the behest of his publisher. Cueto's arrival will awaken those memories that he wanted to bury in his memory, which only cause bitterness and unrest. The young reporter will remind him of emotions from the past, his moments in childhood, his crazy years of youth in the city of Buenos Aires, the mistakes he made, his old friendships, the influence he exerted on film and jazz, the illusion of the first love, the first disappointment, the appreciation of the loyalty of his friends and parents, especially his mother, Roma, who exerted a strong influence on his character. Roma was an intelligent, strong, beautiful, understanding woman who believed in the ideals of her son's youth. The journalist will remind him of all the confidence that his mother gave him, how she understood his bohemian spirit, free and faithful to himself. So vivid is the memory of Roma, which will make Joaquín, in some way, want to recover all those years of the past.
