Fulfilling years
The film will release 10 years after the sequel 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows' and 12 years since the first film, 'Sherlock Holmes'.
Release date changed
On May 7th, 2018 Warner Bros. Pictures announced that the film would release on December 25th, 2020. However, on March 4th, 2019 the film was pushed back by a year, now scheduled for December 21st, 2021.
Hardy is coming
There are strong rumors about Tom Hardy playing a cameo role in this movie.
Avengers revenge
Sherlock Holmes was going to be shot by the end of 2016, but due to the Marvel series Robert Downey Jr. could not act on those dates.
