What the critics say average 6.6 from 12

  • 9.0 The Hollywood ReporterFrank Scheck It's Smith's eccentric oldster who is the film's driving force, and the 80-year-old actress doesn't disappoint. Not surprisingly, she fully exploits the humor in her character's bizarreness. Read
  • 8.0 VarietyGuy Lodge A grandly ornery Maggie Smith is the chief draw in this slight, innocuously enjoyable adaptation of Alan Bennett's memoir. Read
