Synopsis

'We are Mari Pepa' was born of the director, Samuel Kishi, necessity to make a tribute to his grandmother, the neighborhood where he grow up, his friends with which he spend childhood and share multiple failed rock bands. So he just introduce us Alex, a sixteen teenage boy that live with his "grandma".

Alex just has many plans to make during his summer, including the following: writing a song with his rock band -MariPepa-, having his first sexual experience and finding a job. He also becomes aware that his grandma is depending so much more on him, so as long as summer goes, Alex realizes that things are changing, and these changes are going to be forever, so he will have to grow up and learn to say goodbye to things he never thought.
