Deerskin

In a remote village, a man named Georges (Jean Dujardin, 'The Artist', 'The Wolf of Wall Street') pays a considerable sum in exchange for a deerskin jacket. Separated from his wife and blocked from their bank account, the lack of joy in his life leads Georges to quickly grow very attached to the jacket and so he decides that he must ensure that the garment is the only one of its kind in existence. He becomes obsessed with the jacket and films himself in it on an old camcorder, which is noticed by local waitress Denise (Adèle Haenel, 'Portrait of a Lady on Fire', 'Love at First Sight'), who wants to be a film editor. Denise agrees to help Georges edit the footage, though she grows concerned as Georges becomes single-minded in his mission to be the only man on earth with such "killer style".

This bleak horror-comedy is written and directed by Quentin Dupieux ('Rubber', 'Reality'). Joining the cast are Albert Delpy ('2 Days in Paris', 'Before Sunset'), Pierre Gommé ('The Bonfire of Destiny', 'Fourmi'), Coralie Russier ('An Impossible Love', '120 BPM (Beats Per Minute)'), Laurent Nicolas ('Steak', 'Lascars'), Marie Bunel ('The Chorus', 'Links of Life'), Panayotis Pascot ('Thanksgiving', 'Peplum') and Youssef Hajdi ('The Bureau', 'Platane').
