Gifted

'Gifted' is a 2017 American drama where Chris Evans plays Frank Adler, a man who wants to protect his sisters daughter, Mary (Mckenna Grace). His niece is a child prodigy and Adler, a single man living in Florida, fights for the custody of her in order for her to realise and fulfill her real potential. However, his plans are halted when the seven year olds incredible abilities are recognised by the mother of Frank, Evelyn (Lindsay Duncan). As a result, the grandmother has other plans which threaten to separate Frank and Mary. The film tells the story of a custody battle between mother and son for this young child prodigy. Directed by Marc Webb, produced by FilmNation Entertainment and distributed by FoxSearchlight Pictures.
