Synopsis
10th animated installment in the Pokémon film series created by Satoshi Tajiri, Junichi Masuda and Ken Sugimori. First installment in the 'Pokémon Diamond and Pearl' arc-themed trilogy, which continued with 'Pokémon 11: Giratina & the Sky Warrior' and 'Pokémon 12: Arceus and the Jewel of Life'.
In the infinite and eternal crack of space and time, two entities that should never have met collide in a battle of great proportions. One of them is the time deity Dialga, who manages to hurt her counterpart Palkia, the space deity. Meanwhile, in another place, a man reads the diary of a famous architect named Godey, who designed the Two Towers of Space and Time, an imposing modernist monument located in Alamos Town. In it, what could be the destruction of the world due to powerful forces colliding with each other is predicted.
The prediction came from a nightmare, which is related to the Mythical Pokémon Darkrai, due to its ability Bad Dream. Hated by all the villagers, only a girl named Alicia sees that her heart and intentions are good. Darkrai will later befriend Alicia's granddaughter, saving her life and keeping a secret friendship.
The prediction comes true when, 100 years after the prediction, the prediction comes true when Dialga and Palkia break into Alamos Town, where they start causing a riot. At the same time, Ash, Brock and Dawn arrive in the region, who came to the town for a Pokémon Contest and who now have the mission of saving the world and showing the true good nature of Darkrai. Directed by Kunihiko Yuyama and written by Hideki Sonoda.
