Plot

The new comedy from the screenwriter who brought us the Meet the Fockers' trilogy, 'Zoolander' and 'I love you, man', will reunite Bryan Cranston and James Franco and make them rivals. A father (Cranston) travels next to her family to visit her daughter who is studying in college. There they will find their beloved daughter dating a young multimillionaire (Franco). Then a rivalry begins between the father and the boyfriend to earn the most love from the girl, who will se how both of them fight for her. 'Why Him?' is a comedy film directed by John Hamburg starring Zoey Deutch, Megan Mullally, Keegan-Michael Key, Andrew Rannells and Zack Pearlman. The film is produced by 21 Laps Entertainment, Red Hour Films and Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation.

240 hours of filming

According to Megan Mullally, the cast was given free access to improvise as much as they wanted to and eventually 240 hours of films was shot on camera, which had to be trimmed to 90 minutes for the final film.
