About the Transporter saga
'The Transporter' came out of Luc Besson's factory, who co-wrote and produced it, and made Jason Statham an action star. In 'The Transporter' (2002), Frank Martin is an ex-soldier who makes a living on the French Riviera moving whatever he is paid to move, no questions asked, with three rules: never change the deal, no names, and never open the package.
Louis Leterrier, who had worked on the first, directed 'Transporter 2' (2005), with Frank in Miami protecting a kidnapped boy, and Olivier Megaton made 'Transporter 3' (2008). Car chases, choreographed fights and Statham's deadpan style were the trilogy's trademarks.
The series was rebooted with 'The Transporter: Refueled' (2015), with Ed Skrein as Frank Martin, and also became a TV series, 'Transporter: The Series' (2012-2014). Statham went on to other franchises such as Fast & Furious and The Expendables.
