Plot

Diana is the princess of the Amazon, and lives a quiet and calm life in a solitary island far away from civilization. During her whole life she has been training to turn into an invincible warrior and even though she doesn't know it yet she will have to use her immense power to save the wold. One day an American pilot crashes into the island and this warns the amazon women that there is a huge war destroying the world. Diana is crushed by these facts and comes up with a plan to end this threat, she must become Wonder Woman. With the help of the pilot, Trevor they will get to work trying to end the evil that is consuming the planet. During this time she will come to discover all the powers that she has within. It said that in the 'Wonder Woman' movie we would find two time lines, the first focusing on the First World War, and the second in a modern world previous to the events of 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'. Chris Pine ('Star Trek Into Darkness', 'Into the Woods') is confirmed as the pilot Steve Trevor who knows Wonder Woman on the island of the Amazons and take her to the outside world.

21 years to write the script

The film has been planned since 1996 when Ivan Reitman was hired to write and direct. In January 2001 Silver Pictures approached Todd Alcott to write the script. In 2003, Todd was replaced for Laeta Kalogridis. In 2005, Josh Whedon was hired to write and direct, but in February 2007 decided to quit. In November 2014, Michelle MacLaren was confirmed as director, but she decided to drop out in 2015
