Plot

Directed by Anna Foerster, who returns to the cinema after making 'Underworld: Blood Wars' in 2016. Director of series such as 'Criminal Minds', 'Outlander', 'Carnival Row' or 'Westworld', she goes behind the cameras to direct a screenplay by Maggie Cohn and Jack Stanley.

Washington State, 1986, Lou (Allison Janney) is a sullen retired woman who lives alone with her dog Jax. The day she plans to end her life, an unexpected event arises: Vee (Ridley Bateman), the daughter of her tenant Hannah (Jurnee Smollett), is kidnapped by her father, Phillip (Logan Marshall-Green), a former soldier. converted into a mercenary and who is wanted for crimes against humanity and whom his ex-wife had left for dead.

Desperate, Hannah asks Lou for help, and Lou decides not to commit suicide and help her get her daughter back. What Hannah doesn't know is that Lou is a former CIA agent and that she was a spy for 26 years, in addition to being a killing machine. The retiree woman has a background in martial arts and the military that will be essential for Hannah to be able to rescue Vee from the clutches of her abusive father.
