Complete List of 2018 Emmy Awards Winners

At last night's 70th Emmy Awards there was excitement, surprise, glamour, and some television series simply stole the show.

In last night's 70th Emmy Awards Gala the show which surprised everyone, winning a grand total of five awards, was 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel'; the series won Best Comedy, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Direction, and Best Script in the Comedy section.

When it comes to the Drama section, 'Game of Thrones', 'The Americans', and 'The Crown' were tied with their total number of awards, however it was the HBO series which successfully won the award for Best Drama of the year. Peter Dinklage brought home the award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Tyrion Lannister, Matthew Rhys was awarded for his role as the protagonist in the series about Russian spies, which also won Best Script. For its part, the Netflix series recounting the life story of Elizabeth II received recognition due to the work of Claire Foy, who returned to her role in the second season this year, and for the direction of Stephen Daldry.

In the category of miniseries and telefilms, 'American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace' was awarded with three Emmys: Best Limited Series, Best Actor (Darren Criss), and Best Directing (Ryan Murphy). Penélope Cruz gave the award for Best Actress in a Limited Series to Regina King.

Netflix was the most awarded, with six: two for 'Godless', two for 'The Crown', one for 'Seven Seconds', and one for the episode of 'Black Mirror' which satirized 'Star Trek'. Following Netflix was Amazon, HBO, and FX, each with five awards.

When joined together with the Creative Emmy Awards from the previous week, HBO and Netflix are tied in the number of awards received, with 23 each.
