Jimmy Kimmel, famous for his late-night TV show, will host the awards ceremony. The nominations were announced on 23rd January 2018 by Tiffany Haddish and Andy Serkis.

The nominations are divided into 24 different categories, and 'The Shape of Water' has been revealed as the most nominated production this year. The film is closely followed by 'Dunkirk' with 8 nominations and 'Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri' with 7.
